Breathing a new Breathe in Baloch Politics in Iran IV

Non-ideological BUF!

By Walid Garboni

None is perfect amongst us. We all have made miscalculations including Dr Doshoki from whom we expected the least error.  But mistakes should not be allowed to derail the valuable political process that is taking shape.  Best thing will be not to repeat them if saying sorry is difficult.

Contradictory to my earlier assertions, it is confirmed that Dr. Doshoki and his friends rightfully evaluated the Baloch and opted for a front in place of a party. It has proven, sadly, that most of the politically aware Baloch see themselves above their organisation.

How disagreeing personages with BUF could prove Dr. Doshoki wrong? Certainly not by attacking him and his work!  Instead they must have demonstrated discipline by being obedient to BPP’s decisions and should not have operated contradictory to the party’s laid down program. Unilateral controversial activities not only undercut the party values, but also put the leadership in an awkward position which can lead to undermining the party unity on one hand and on the other make the party abhorrent for observing populace.

BUF does not have an ideological program.  Neither have they ever claimed otherwise.  It is mere a temporary arrangement of different Baloch intellectuals who have put their political differences aside for the sake of Baloch and are trying to contribute in their capacity and understanding for the Baloch purpose.  Every one reserves the right to criticise the other, but there are principles and limits in that respect.

Many people have witnessed Dr. Doshoki supporting the referendum movement for constitutional change in Iran and writing to explain his position.  There is no question, the least Baloch like to see would be their leaders playing front runner role for the typical Iranian political programs.  Even if one believed that Baloch problems are better solved with Persian chauvinists, they would abstain from taking front role for the reasons not to disturb other Baloch politicians’ patriotic struggle or achievements.

If a Baloch must be dynamic then Baloch nation deserve their charisma more than anyone else. Therefore, it will not be out of context if we say that Dr. Doshoki did not perform in accordance to Baloch’s expectations by writing and speaking in favour of the referendum, as a front runner; and being critical of the nationalists from the oppressed nations, specifically Baloch for opposing.

Well; people who know Dr. Doshoki understood that he finds himself so attached to Baloch national cause and would take notice of comments from Baloch from all aspect of life and would comment on their criticism for the purpose of making them understand his position and convince them; not hurt them or harm their objectives.  And he accurately explained the reasons in his next article “Iraqis elect a Kurd as their president”.  Few points from this article I noted for the readers attention to judge;

 Paragraph 1

“… We should not give an excuse to Jomhori Eslami to tell the people that if they were removed from the power the sovereignty of Iran will be threatened….”

Paragraph 3

“….We (nations of Iran) share a history and now a common goal, therefore we ought to struggle together to eliminate injustice; the government of the middle ages.  Replace it with a decentralized, capable and democratic system; based on international human rights’ principles…..”

Paragraph 9

“…. Both the leftist and right wing chauvinists are the enemies of freedom and democracy. They are the instruments of fascism who are playing in the hand of the government; the enemy of all the nations.”

Paragragh 15

“….The call for a referendum in Iran for a system change has shaken the foundation of the government, but the chauvinists (left and right) are against the referendum…..”

 Some rash Baloch however, did not spare a moment and attacked him without due consideration and thorough study of the article; simply because they just despise Dr.Doshoki.  The same people however, are mouth sealed when non-Baloch say or write worse things; even about Baloch. Why they do that? It is explicable if coming from a novice politician, but someone like Rahim Bandovi writing directly to non Baloch against a Baloch obliges further explanation.  End
